Computer File Formats
We currently accept the following file formats:
We request all our artwork to be supplied as high resolution (300dpi). It is important that you prepare your PDF file in the correct way. These options must be set for commercial printing:
- Resolution - Choose High Resolution
- Compression Settings - For colour and greyscale this should be downsampled to 300dpi with "auto compression" set on high
- Font Embedding - Should be set to "embed all fonts"
Colour needs to be set as CMYK not RGB (RGB artwork will be converted to CMYK and this could affect your colours)
The colour profile needs to be set to FOGRA39.
Ai (Adobe Illustrator)
Include all embedded images and convert all text to curves.
PSD (Adobe Photoshop)
Set Resolution to 300dpi when starting your new document.
Indd (Adobe InDesign)
Please ensure all fonts and pictures used in your artwork are supplied to us in a separate folder using the "package" function under the "file" menu. Use a compression tool such as Stuffit or WinZip before uploading your order or sending it via e-mail.
Please include a PDF to allow us to check that no elements are been moved or omitted in the final artwork.
PNG, JPEG, TIFF
Please note that we cannot edit these images at all so they need to be correctly sized before you send them to us. Also please check you've exported them to the highest resolution possible (> 300dpi) or else your image may come out blurry.
Please note we cannot accept the following file formats as they aren't designed to prepare print ready artwork. They usually end up with various formatting options and blurry artwork. If you're unable to supply your artwork in any of the requested formats please get in touch and we should be able to help.
We do NOT accept:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Powerpoint
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Publisher
- Low resolution images
Artwork File Colour
All artwork files should be supplied in the CMYK colourspace, not RGB. This is because CMYK is the colour profiles that all printers mix their inks to print with. CMYK often looks a bit less vibrant and bright than RGB but it is impossible to print the exact same colour as you see on your screen. However we do adjust your artwork slightly to colour match it as best as possible.
Also, please note that colours displayed on different screens will ALWAYS look different to other screens. For example and image displayed on your phone will look different to say your office laptop. We only use the highest quality, official inks the printer manufactures recommend to get the best colour possible for your orders.
Trimming & Bleed
If your artwork has content from edge to edge it is essential that you include bleed in your artwork.
What is bleed?
Bleed is simply making your artwork slightly bigger than the cut size to ensure that no white edges are shown on your finished product. This allows a small tolerance for when we cut. However it is important to make sure that none of the artwork in this bleed section is important, such as text or important details, as it could possibly be trimmed off.
What is the 'safe zone'?
The safe zone is 3mm inside the cut marks in which you should NOT put any important information, text or logos. This is just incase of the unlikely event the cut mark is ever so slightly off. This stops any of your important artwork from being lost in the cutting section.
If you're using one of our templates, please follow the guide carefully and match the bleed provided.
If creating artwork yourself our standard bleed sizes are the following:
3mm Bleed on ALL sides
(i.e business cards, posters, flyers) - Anything up to A0 size or up to 1 metre by 1 metre
Please provide 3mm bleed on all sides for cutting. The safe zone is 3mm inside all sides.
Large Format -
5mm Bleed on ALL sides
(i.e foamex board printing, soft image contrast printing, cut vinyl graphics) - Anything above A0 or above 1m x 1m
Please provide 5mm bleed on all sides for cutting. The safe zone is 5mm inside all sides.

If your artwork is spread over multiple pages (i.e brochures, booklets, menus) - please order them in page order.
For example: page 1, page 2, page 3 etc...
This will allow us to place them in the correct order when printing.
We would appreciate it if these are not nessarily placed in a "print ready order" as there are several different ways to print them. There is a chance it doesn't match with our method.
If you choose to upload them as separate files, please use a clear naming method such as "01_Filename, 02_Filename, 03_Filename".
Please name your files clearly and appropriately. Especially if you've ordered multiple products! We'd hate to print the wrong content on the wrong media. We do usually send out digital proofs to you so you can double check we're printing the correct thing.
If you choose to upload them as separate files, please use a clear naming method such as "01_Filename, 02_Filename, 03_Filename".
If you have provided print ready files and we see absolutely no issues with your artwork, we usually go straight to print for you. This minimises production time so you get your order quicker! And obviously if for whatever reason it's wrong, we'd love to fix it!
However if we have any issues with your artwork we'll be in touch via either the email or phone number you've placed your order with. We aim to describe the issue in as much detail as possible and the solution you'd need to fix it. We'd also provide digital proof so you can ensure the artwork is correct.
A digital proof is an image of your artwork scaled to our printing template, or potentially a mockup of your design. This is then sent to you so you can double check it looks correct. Then you can either approve and send it to print, or if you'd like to make changes you can discuss this with our artwork team.
We can accept emails with up to 100MB of attachments in one mail.
Please send art to firstname.lastname@example.org
Internet File Shares
Or course you're free to send us links to your artwork files on the internet - be that DropBox, Google Drive, Box or other.
Please make sure these files are not live and still being edited!
Larger files / no file share available
We are fans of wetransfer, another great way of sending large files over the internet.
Please use email@example.com in the "email to" field.
It's a complex and confusing source of conversation for business' and consumers alike, especially with printed material. The below is meant as an informal guide and we always advise that you seek professional advice on matters of VAT.
When we charge VAT
Our online pricing includes VAT where appropriate on most common products, however we manually check all artwork at the point of proofing. On occasion this may mean additional VAT is payable, for example: if a flyer has a comments box, in this scenario you'll receive an order update email which will need to be paid before your order is processed.
Leaflets & Flyers
Leaflets & Flyers are generally zero-rated however here's a couple of exceptions;
- Standard-rate VAT needs to be paid if the Flyer or Leaflet is designed to be written on.
- Standard-rate VAT needs to be paid if the Flyer or Leaflet is to be used for receiving a discount, i.e. 25% off when you show this flyer at the till.
- Standard-rate VAT needs to be paid if the Flyer or Leaflet is used as a ticket or for admission purposes.
- Standard-rate VAT needs to be paid if the Flyer or Leaflets is over 230GSM.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
You can always contact us for any return question at email@example.com.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as special orders or personalised items). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
