CAN YOU WRAP MY VAN? ... WRAPPING VS SIGNWRITING
If there's one question we're asked more than any other, it's can you wrap my van? The simple answer is, yes, however wrapping and sign-writing are two different beasts. With that in mind, we've written this blog to give you an overview of the main differences.
Wrapping is the art of changing the overall look of a vehicle by changing the colour of one or all of the panels. i.e. turning a white van black. Vehicle wrapping can often include printed images.
Wrapping is labour intensive and expensive. It involves removing large sections of the vehicle such as; number plates, wing mirrors and light clusters. It's also a big decision, which often involves telling the DVLA that you've changed the colour of a vehicle.
On top of that, wrapping is time-consuming, with a large van taking upwards of 5 working days to complete.
Signwriting is all about conveying your message consistently across an entire vehicle. It involves applying individual cut graphics onto the vehicle, which can include large blocks of colour and images.
This is a really cost-effective means of communicating what you do, and a large van often takes less than a working day to complete; it's super speedy!
Signwriting is also highly adaptable, enabling small changes as your business grows, i.e. adding a membership logo, changing a phone number, or updating a web address.
Our Pricing: All of our web pricing is based around signwriting as described above.
While there are pros and cons to each, signwriting will always win for us. Eye-popping designs, cost-effective and speedy - what more could you ask for?!
CHAPTER 8 - WHAT'S THAT ALL ABOUT?
'Chapter 8' kits, also know as 'chevon kits', are applied to vehicles carrying out specific and often high-risk tasks such as highway maintenance, telecoms, and tree-work.
If you fancy some bedtime reading, the full document about this can be found on Gov.uk via this link.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
On average we'll need your vehicle for 7 hours, but we're always happy for overnight drop-offs. We understand how inconvenient losing your van for a day can be.
At the point of proofing, we'll be able to give a more accurate indication.
WHERE DOES THE SIGNWRITING HAPPEN?
We require the vehicle to be dropped off to our site in Guildford (GU3 2BY).
CAN YOU COLLECT?
Although we don't routinely offer collection, there are some exceptions sometimes, so feel free to ask when booking in your job. We will always try to accommodate where we can!
DO YOU OFFER A GUARANTEE?
Absolutely, we guarantee our workmanship for 36 months (thankfully the length of most leases')
DO YOU OFFER FLEET DISCOUNTS?
More than five vehicles?...get you! We work with many companies who have large fleets to ensure brand consistency across their fleets.
If you'd like to chat about fleet pricing give us a call or drop us an email, we'll beat any like for like price.
My Van's leased, can you still signwrite it?
It's always worth checking your contract, but generally most leasing companies are fine with you applying signwriting.
